Journey to the Heart:

Integrative Therapy Rooted in IFS and Mindfulness

Journey to the Heart is a heart-centered, integrative therapy experience rooted in Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic awareness, and mindfulness. This work invites you to connect with your inner world—your emotions, parts, longings, and innate wisdom—to cultivate radical self-acceptance, compassion, and self-love.

With a background in mind-body movement, I bring a somatic and mindfulness-based approach to therapy. My sessions weave together IFS, imagery, visualization, and meditation to support you in developing a compassionate relationship with the many different “parts” of yourself.

IFS is a supportive framework that views the mind as a system made up of many parts. We might find an anxious part, a perfectionist part, or a younger part carrying past pain. These parts often emerge from lived experiences and can become misunderstood or pushed away. But each part holds insight and serves a protective role. Rather than fixing or eliminating parts, we meet them with curiosity, compassion, and respect.

Inspired by one of my favorite poems, Rumi’s The Guest House, we practice welcoming and holding space for all parts. Whether it's anger, fear, grief, or uncertainty, we build the capacity to stay present and hold space—for all of it. This practice mirrors Buddhist teachings of compassionate awareness and non-resistance, allowing for deeper integration, insight, and inner peace. From this place, your core Self—the calm, compassionate, curious and confident presence, can lead once again.

As your companion in this process, I’ll also help you tune into the body’s wisdom—where emotions and parts often reside, and support you in listening to what your body is trying to tell you. Together, we’ll explore how your internal system shows up in relationships, work, and daily life. We’ll also incorporate elements of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy to bring awareness to unhelpful thought patterns and gently challenge limiting beliefs.

Whether you're navigating trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, or a disconnection from purpose, Journey to the Heart offers a strengths-based, holistic path toward presence, empowerment, and inner alignment.

”But you must stop running away and shake hands—
the meeting doesn’t happen without your presence... your participation.”
