FAQ

Curious about working together? You’re in the right place.

Below are some common questions – both the practical kind and the more heart-centered ones.

The Practical Stuff

Where are you located?

I’m based in California. All my sessions are held virtually, using a secure and private video platform so you can join from wherever feels most safe and comforting to you. Whether that’s your couch, your car, or curled up with tea, you get to choose the space that helps you settle in.

Do you take insurance?

I don’t work directly with insurance providers, but I’m happy to provide a superbill you can submit for possible reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits.

What are your rates?

My fees are $175 for individuals and $200 for couples. If cost is a concern, feel free to reach out – we can explore what’s possible.

How long are sessions?

Most sessions are 50 minutes. Depending on the depth of the work, couples may opt for 60–75 minutes.

How do I get started?

You can schedule a free 20-minute consultation or reach out through my contact form. We’ll talk about what you’re looking for and see if it feels like a good fit.

What’s your cancellation policy?

I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations are subject to the full session fee.

The Heart of the Work

What kinds of things do people come to you for?

Many of my clients are navigating relationship stress – whether they’re in a partnership that feels off, healing from a breakup, or preparing for a healthier next chapter. I also support folks moving through grief, anxiety, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. Sometimes, there’s a big shift happening. Other times, it’s just a quiet inner knowing that something needs to change.

What’s your approach to therapy?

Relational, holistic, and collaborative. I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, somatic tools, and narrative therapy. For couples, I draw from both IFS and the Gottman Method to help deepen connection and communication. The work is both reflective and practical – we explore patterns and stories and build fundamental tools to support you day-to-day.

Will you give me tools to help with communication and emotional regulation?

Yes. I’m big on helping you feel more resourced, empowered, and equipped. That might look like learning how to slow down during an argument, speak from your core self, or respond to anxiety in a new way. We’ll tailor it to you.

Do you only work with couples?

Not at all. I work with individuals, too – especially those reflecting on their relationship patterns, moving through heartbreak, or preparing for something more aligned. Whether you’re in a relationship or in between them, there’s so much meaningful work to do.

Getting to Know Me

What led you to this work?

Like many therapists, I’ve been shaped by my own healing journey. I’ve always been drawn to understanding how we relate – to ourselves, to others, and to the bigger picture. I believe we’re wired for connection, and that therapy can be a powerful space to untangle old patterns and reconnect to what’s true.

What’s a therapy session with you like?

Clients often describe me as warm, intuitive, and honest. I bring a lot of presence to our sessions. Sometimes, we’ll be tuning into body sensations or inner parts; other times, we’re working through a tough conversation you had or exploring a belief that keeps coming up. There’s space for laughter, tears, and silence. All of ‘you’ are welcome.

Do you have a favorite quote or guiding philosophy?

Yes – one I come back to often is: “We are born in relationship, we are wounded in relationship, and we can be healed in relationship.” (Harville Hendrix)
