Adolescence and young adulthood bring significant change. Academic pressure, friendships and relationships, family dynamics, increasing independence, identity, career decisions, and questions about the future can all feel overwhelming at times.
Stress may show up as anxiety, overthinking, perfectionism, irritability, difficulty concentrating, low confidence, or feeling uncertain about what comes next.
Therapy offers a space to understand what you’re experiencing, talk openly about what’s going on, and develop practical tools for navigating this stage of life with greater confidence and self-awareness.
Support for navigating change, stress, relationships, and becoming who you are.
I work with teens and young adults navigating anxiety, academic or career stress, relationship challenges, family conflict, perfectionism, low self-esteem, life transitions, and uncertainty about identity or the future.
Our conversations might explore what it means to fit in versus truly feel a sense of belonging, how to understand yourself and what matters to you, finding direction and purpose, navigating changing relationships, and learning how to regulate when big emotions show up.
My approach incorporates mindfulness, somatic awareness, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and practical tools for managing stress and emotions. Our work is collaborative, supportive, and shaped by what feels most relevant to you and the life you want to build.

A time of becoming
Therapy may support you with:
The word adolescent comes from the Latin adolescere, meaning “to grow up” or “to come to maturity.” That meaning has stayed with me throughout my work with young people.
The years from adolescence through young adulthood are a formative time for discovering who you are, what matters to you, how you want to relate to others, and the direction you want your life to take.
Therapy can offer support and guidance as you find your way through that process.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a high school counselor, giving me firsthand experience with the academic, social, emotional, and family pressures teens navigate.
I’ve also facilitated 8-week mindfulness programs in high schools, taught stress management at George Washington University, and taught yoga at American University.
These experiences have shaped how I work with young people today: with respect for what they’re navigating and an emphasis on developing skills and self-understanding they can carry forward.
Experience supporting teens & young adults
I offer virtual therapy for teens and young adults throughout California.
For teens under 18, I work with parents to establish clear expectations around confidentiality and involvement while creating a space where your teen can feel comfortable speaking openly.
For young adults, you can reach out directly to schedule a complimentary 20-minute consultation.
